Great Expectations

The talk of motherhood a babies is high on the topic of conversation at work. Is it a boy or girl? When you don’t know, it’s hard to make a quilt. Is it too girly or is it too manly? When working with scraps and collectively with other quilters, other challenges play in. When a quilt is given, it’s with love and affection. It’s many hours of actual time and planning and contemplation. To the quilter it’s more than just a baby blanket, it’s an expression of how much the quilter cares about the recipient. This quilt leaves my hands on the 14th of November and awaits a special date in someone else’s life and will go on to have another journey! Quilters don’t just give their handiwork, they give a piece of their heart! Happy Stitching!
